Kauai resort rebrands following HGV’s acquisition of Diamond Resorts
POIPU, HI (August 24, 2022) – Hilton Grand Vacations (NYSE:HGV), the industry-leading global vacation ownership company, celebrated the rebranding of The Point at Poipu, a Hilton Vacation Club, with a Hawaiian blessing and ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, August 24. Following HGV’s acquisition of Diamond Resorts in 2021, The Point at Poipu is the first Hawaii resort elevated under the company’s new Hilton Vacation Club brand. Located on Kauai’s south shore overlooking Shipwreck Beach, the oceanfront resort is HGV’s first on the island and 11th property in Hawaii.

The 219-room resort offers oceanfront elegance with spacious two-bedroom suites featuring fully-equipped kitchens, large lanai’s, spacious living spaces and lovely garden or ocean views. Owners and guests will also have access to a host of amenities including a large heated outdoor pool and whirlpool spa, well-equipped fitness center, outdoor BBQ’s, poolside bar and cafe family-friendly activity center and ocean front pathways.
In celebration of HGV’s 30th anniversary, the company is also announcing its 30 for 30 campaign that will expand on the HGV Serves Corporate Social Responsibility program. Through HGV Serves, the company in alignment with HTA’s destination management programs, has launched Malama Hawaii initiatives that focus on giving back to the local community and promoting sustainable travel. HGV team members have participated in reforestation efforts, beach cleanups and more through the initiative.
