Hilton Grand Vacations Wins a Gold Stevie Award in 2021 International Business Awards

The Timeshare Company is Recognized for the Presales Launch of its Newest Resort in Japan

Tokyo, Japan (August 26, 2021) – Hilton Grand Vacations Inc. (NYSE:HGV) (“HGV” or the “Company”) has been honored with a Gold Stevie® Award in the 18th annual International Business Awards®. Winning in the Product Development/Management Department of the Year category, the achievement recognizes the timeshare’s presales launch for its first resort on Sesoko Island in Japan.

Gold award winners in this category demonstrated significant achievements and results in new products developed over the past year, and were able to clearly support their efforts with facts, figures and supporting materials.

“It is a great honor to be recognized with this Gold Stevie® Award and have the opportunity to thank our resilient owners and team members for helping us overcome the unprecedented challenges of the past 18 months,” said Jeff Bernier, senior vice president – managing director, APAC & Hawaii. “At a time when the industry was at a standstill, Hilton Grand Vacations implemented a multi-prong commercial strategy to create new sales opportunities and owner experiences for this highly anticipated resort, while putting safety first and adhering to HGV’s Enhanced Care Guidelines. This accomplishment shows our team members living our vision and values, and thanks to our teamwork we have built a solid platform for our Owners and guests to enjoy even more lasting memories.”

Serving as HGV’s first timeshare resort in Okinawa, The Beach Resort Sesoko by Hilton Club is located on the beautiful, remote island of Sesoko and will complement the newly opened Hilton Okinawa Sesoko Resort. Following completion of the project alongside leading private development company, Mori Trust, the 140-unit resort is scheduled to open in fall 2021. HGV has a significant business base in Japan with over 68,000 owner families based there. With domestic visitors accounting for 70% of total visitations to Okinawa, HGV’s Japanese owners will value the convenience and ease of a local vacation ownership option.

The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small - are eligible to submit nominations. The 2021 IBAs received entries from organizations in 63 nations and territories.

As the ongoing COVID-19 crisis will prevent winners from receiving their awards on stage during a traditional gala IBA banquet, winners will be celebrated instead during a virtual ceremony on Wednesday, 8 December.
